Saudi Arabia: Qatif protester on
hunger strike as chances to avoid execution run out
Businessman Saud al-Faraj,
sentenced to death following alleged torture, has begun a hunger
strike after being denied chance to raise his case with public
prosecutor
Dania Akkad Tue, 08/01/2023 - 10:57
Saud al-Faraj, 42, has said
he was severely tortured and held in solitary confinement in a
Saudi Arabian prison for 21 months (ESOHR)
A Saudi Arabian man sentenced to death over his
participation in anti-government protests in 2011 has launched
a hunger strike after he was denied access to a public prosecutor,
as his legal options to avoid execution run out, sources inside the
kingdom told a rights group.
Saud al-Faraj, a 42-year-old businessman and
father, was convicted in 2022 of participating in
demonstrations in Qatif - a Shia-majority province in the east of
the kingdom - as well as running a terrorist cell and killing
police officers.
Faraj has long denied the charges,
saying that his confession was a result of torture,
which saw him moved via wheelchair in and out of
the prison hospital between interrogation sessions, and held
in solitary confinement for 21 months, among other allegations.
The Specialised Criminal Court of Appeal upheld his death
sentence in January, and his case is now before the Supreme

Former President Donald Trump remains the undisputed leader of
the 2024 Republican presidential pack holding a staggering 37
percentage-point lead over his nearest rival, Florida Gov. Ron
DeSantis, according to a new poll out Monday. Trump, 77, drew 54%
support among likely GOP primary voters nationwide in the New York
Times/Siena College survey, followed by DeSantis at 17%. No other
Republican contender received more than 3% support with former Vice
President Mike Pence, former US Ambassador to the United Nations
Nikki Haley and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) each reaching that figure.
Multimillionaire entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and former New Jersey
Gov. Chris Christie each clocked in at 2%. No other aspirant

QUESTION: Thanks for
all the great information you share. I have a question regarding
cryptocurrencies. Do you think all countries will try to abolish
crypto or only certain countries (such as the US) in favor of a
central bank digital currency? As of now, many countries appear
much more accepting of crypto than the US. Thanks again.
JWM
ANSWER: This is a good
question. Before the stupid sanctions imposed on Russia removed
them from SWIFT, the IMF would threaten tax havens that if they did
not turn over the people with accounts in their country, they would
be removed from SWIFT. The sanctions against Russia have backfired,
so now we have China and Iran setting up their alternatives to
SWIFT. I would have assumed that they would have threatened
countries against the removal from SWIFT if they did not shut down
cryptocurrencies, for they would provide an alternative to CBDC and
thereby skirt their end goal of 100% control and taxation. In
trying to sanction Russia, they have lost their absolute power to
abuse SWIFT to threaten countries. Theoretically, the tax havens
could switch to Chinas CIPS and say screw you to the US and EU.
As I have said, an EMP could wipe out the entire financial
system and neutralize even nuclear weapons capability. I do not see
how these people will succeed in dominating the world. Their abuse
of SWIFT to punish Russia has undermined their power and the entire
world economy. This is most likely part of the 2032 collapse.
I would be concerned about cryptocurrencies making the
transition to what lies beyond 2032. That is highly speculative. I
would tend to rely on tangible assets to make the transition to
whatever the new monetary system will emerge post-2032.

Oh, this is odious yet delicious.
In 2022, Irans morality police (who could give the Shahs
SAVAK a run for their money in the brutality olympics)
arrested and murdered Mahsa Amini, a 22 year old Kurdish woman, for
how she covered (or didnt cover) her hair.
Her murder led to nearly a year of protests in Iran that
still continue. Just yesterday,
the Iranian regime arrested Behrooz Behzadi, editor-in-chief of
Etemad, for factually reporting on the censorship of
journalists, artists and others during the protests.
The head of the morality police is Reza Tsaghati, a strict
hardliner. Well, if by hardliner youre referring to his
penetration.
On Wednesday, a video was posted to Telegram showing a man,
reported to be Tsaghati, engaging in sexual acts with another
man. The Iranian regime has temporarily suspended him from
his position.
If this turns out to be true, were in for some interesting
events. In the past, the regime has given its hypocritical
and patriarchal religious leaders a slap on the wrist for things
they do. Iran is a fascist theist state which murders
(executes) LGBTQIA people for consensual sex acts. Will they
protect one of their own (likely only persecuting the partner
in the video), or enact justice the way they would against
powerless citizens?
From QNews Australia, an LGBTQIA site:
Iran suspends morality enforcer over gay sex
vid
The Iranian regime suspended senior morality enforcer Reza
Tsaghati over a gay sex vid on Wednesday.
Reza Tsaghati was the head of culture and Islamic guidance
in Gilan province. He previously founded a cultural centre focused
on piety and the hijab. As Gilan provinces chief morality enforcer,
he was known for his strict enforcement of mandatory hijab-wearing
by women.
Iranian hardliners are still trying to make up ground over
missteps following the death of Mahsa Amini last year. The young
Kurdish woman died in police custody. She endured a severe beating
by Guidance Patrol officers who arrested her for wearing her hijab
improperly.
Mahsa Aminis death triggered ongoing nationwide
protests.
The gay sex vid posted to a Telegram channel allegedly shows
Reza Tsaghati having sex with a young man.
The authenticity of the gay sex vid remains unverified with
neither man positively iden...

[This is a partial transcript of an interview aired on 11
April 2023 on Berks Community
Television.
Faramarz Farbod: Can you explain what you mean by
Zionism?
Miko Peled: To put it as simply and succinctly
as possible, Zionism is an ideology that says the Jewish people all
over the world have a right to Palestine at the expense of
Palestinians. It created a theory that because all Jewish people
around the world are descendants of ancient Hebrews a few thousand
years ago, they have a right to return. And that the Jews are not a
nation united by religion, but a nation united as all other nations
by a land, a country, a history, and so on, which, of course, is
completely antithetical to Judaism. According to Judaism and Jewish
law, what unites Jews is their faith, the laws, the Jewish laws,
not language or a country. Anyway, the Zionists were secular
people. They said we are a nation like all nations, our country is
Palestine, and our history is the Old Testament. They believed in
the religious part of the Old Testament, but they said we can throw
out God and all that nonsense. But the history there, thats our
history. I grew up and learned that history, the stories of the Old
Testament; we learned them as history.
Thats Zionism, and it says that I and every Jew around the
world, well, I certainly, because I was born there, but any Jew
around the world, has the right to come to Palestine, and they call
it Israel, the land of Israel.
FF: That is the so-called Right of Return, which is
extended to the Jews but not to the Palestinian inhabitants who
were displaced.
MP: Yes, of course. The Palestinians were considered, and
are considered, invaders, foreign invaders. Its our land, we may
have been gone for two thousand years but we are back. You know,
the use of we were there and now we are back and so this is us. The
reason I think this is absurd is that if you ask any Israeli Jew
Where are you from? theyll say Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Iraq,
Yemen, Kurdistan, Maghreb, Iran, and every other place in the
world; but you ask any Palestinian outside of Palestine Where are
you from? ask any child, you know that I go to conferences and
there are always a lot of children they say: Yafa, Haifa,
Jerusalem, and so on. They know the name of the villages up and
down th...

When Donald Trump went to bed last night, he
probably wondered whether he will be able to add Mar-a-Lago
maintenance worker Carlos De Oliveira to the long list of people
willing to take the fall for him.
If not, the president will be in much greater
legal peril than he already is.
It could go either way.
Trump has
frequently (and aptly) been compared
to a
mob boss, which is
probably why the trait he values above all is loyalty. One of the
biggest reasons why the former president has not been held to
account more often and more comprehensively for his various illegal
activities is that he has always been able to find people who would
not only do his bidding but, if things went south, also would cover
up and lie for him even though they
themselves may go to jail, be disbarred, get fine, or face other
forms of punishment as a result.
Together with Trump, we will find out in the
coming weeks and months whether De Oliveira is such a
man.
The possibility of the maintenance worker
flipping will probably keep the former president up at night more
than anything else that can be found in the
superseding indictment that special counsel Jack Smith filed Thursday evening in the
case of Trumps hoarding of classified documents and obstructing
justice.
Yet it is this other information that most
analysts focused on. Some highlighted the additional count of
retaining classified information that the former president is now
facing. Others noted that new evidence showing that Trump and his
underlings obstructed justice is now much stronger.
In the end, neither of these things will matter
all that much. After all, the case was incredibly strong to begin
with, and the 32nd count of Willful Retention of National Defense
Information is unlikely to make a difference even though it
apparently means that Smith and his team got their hands on a lost
document with a plan of attack on Iran that, according to a taped
conversation, Trump...

When it comes to global treaties on anything
from international criminal justice and womens rights to landmines
and the testing of nuclear weapons, the United States does not play
well with others.
Often citing its sovereignty, an issue that
does not seem to be a problem for all of the other countries that
sign these agreements, the US would rather not subject itself to
any jurisdiction other than its own.
In light of all of the messed-up things the
country is routinely involved in, that is not
surprising.
After all, if you want to use landmines, then
you cant exactly sign a treaty banning them, and if you want
to torture using
enhanced interrogation techniques on prisoners of war and enemy combatants,
then you dont want to be bound by agreements that outlaw that kind
of thing.
Often, this is not a good look. For example,
the US is one of two countries that has refused to sign on to the
UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. If you are wondering,
Somalia is the other. Those two stalwarts of freedom are joined by
Iran, Palau, Sudan, and Tonga as the only countries who have not
signed on to the UN Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of
Discrimination Against Women. After all, such a move might just end
up granting American women autonomy over their own
bodies.
Sometimes, the USs recalcitrance regarding
joining international treaties results in sticky
situations.
As of yesterday, we are dealing with one of
them right now.
It involves the International Criminal Court
(ICC), which is a global body investigating genocide, crimes
against humanity, and war crimes. Over the objections of stalwarts
of virtue like China, Iraq, Israel, Libya, Qatar, Yemen, and the
US, it was established 25 years ago.
To be fair, that one really does make sense in
a we dont want to get in trouble for the s*** we do kind of way.
After all, on some level, the US is probably involved in most wars
in recent history among all of the countries in the world. And, if
you fight a lot of wars, there are lots of opportunities for
committing war crimes.
Therefore, it is best for the US to ignore the
existence of the ICC altogether.
That works well if you invade countries under
false pretenses, run black site prisons across the globe, engage in
extraordinary rendition, or use enhanced interrogation
(wink).

March 29, 2023
(Brian
Berletic - New Eastern Outlook) - In late March a drone strike was carried out in Syria. Not
by the United States or Israel, but by forces opposing the illegal
US occupation of eastern Syria. The strike left one American
contractor dead and several US service members
injured.
While the US responded by carrying
out airstrikes of its own in Syria against groups Washington claims
are linked to the drone strike, the limited response and subsequent
attacks on US troops reveals the deep and growing quandary the US
has found itself in both in Syria and across the wider Middle
East.
Why is the US in Syria in
the First Place?
The US has operated militarily in
Syria since 2014, doing so without any United Nations mandate, nor
with permission from Syrias internationally recognized government
in Damascus. The US predicates its presence in Syria including its
military occupation of eastern Syria on fighting terrorist
organizations including the self-proclaimed Islamic State (ISIS, is
banned in Russia)
In reality, as US Deputy Secretary of Defense
for the Middle East Dana Stroul admitted publicly during a Center
for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) event titled,
Syria in the Gray Zone in 2019, the US military
occupation is meant to deprive Syria of its primary agricultural
and energy resources, using the freezing and starving of the Syrian
population as leverage against both Damascus and its allies
including Russia and Iran.
Deputy Assistant
Secretary Stroul would claim during the CSIS event that the US
possessed what she called compelling forms of leverage on the table
to shape an...

The United States and the Islamic Republic of
Iran are led by cowards and idiots.
For two decades now the United States, Israel, and
the West have flirted with attacking Iran, using the nuclear file
as an excuse to mask their aggression as a preventive action and in
accordance with international law.
But as we've seen time and again there is no such
thing as international law. Putin finally realized this truth and
acted, albeit reluctantly, in Ukraine.
The Western press can mock Putin all they want,
call him evil, paint him as the Hitler of our day, but at least
he's not a coward like Western leaders. The British PM, Macron,
Trudeau, Scholz, Biden, Trump, none of them are in the same league
as him as far as world leaders go. Who are these buffoons?
Nobodies. That's how history will remember them.
People talk about the Western alliance. What is
the Western alliance? Washington and its dumb minions. It's the
blind leading the blind. What great foe has this formidable power
conquered? A couple of isolated thugs in the Arab world? Knocking
out Saddam and Gaddafi are not major accomplishments. When the
history of the American empire is written it will not say it fought
great enemies and went out admirably.
As for the religious fanatics who rule Iran and
Israel, they do not have the popular legitimacy, regional standing,
or international backing to withstand a prolonged, costly, and
catastrophic war. They are chest beaters, nothing more.

The Western media's cynical ballooning of Ukraine's hopes,
saying it can win a war against Russia, is completely
diabolical.
Militarily and economically Ukraine stands no chance. China
backing Canada to march on Washington a second time would have
better odds.
When was the last war Ukraine fought? What is their army made
of? When in their short history have they defeated a foe that would
give them the confidence to take on an entire civilization on its
doorstep? It's ridiculous.
This war is tragic and absurd.
The neocons in the United States bear the ultimate
responsibility for this moral and geopolitical disaster, having
been the ideological fathers of Russophobia in the post Cold
War era, but European leaders and governments also share the
blame.
The West in their hands has sunk politically, morally,
culturally, and economically. Engaging in proxy warfare, using
entire nations as a means to an end, is what a culturally sick,
militarily weak, and morally depraved empire does as it teeters
towards the dustbin of history. Look to the 7th century for a
couple of examples.
The Western obsession with Russia has led to countless examples
of tragedies and needless human suffering. If it was not for the
British slicing India into two to thwart Russian access to the
Indian Ocean at the end of WWII the horrors of partition would not
have come about.
The political Islamization of Afghanistan and Iran would also
not have happened if the United States did not determine in the
1970s that the Soviet Union was a greater enemy than sects of
fanatical Muslims.
Point to anywhere on the map, in any period of modern history,
and you'll find case after case of how the irrational Western
hatred for Russia has led to political destabilization,
humanitarian disaster, and long-term conflict.
Ukraine is just their latest victim.

Supporting terrorism, using water as a
weapon, can lead to short-term gains, but it's a slippery slope. In
the end it only leads to chaos.
Chaos is the weapon of the weak, the
rejected, and the desperate.
NATO has imposed chaos and sought
destruction from the steppes of Ukraine to the mountains of
Afghanistan. It has brought out of the depths of hell the ghosts of
Islam and Nazism. Russia is always the target, but its real victims
are weak nations like Afghanistan and Ukraine that are used up and
thrown away.
Its reign of global terror didn't start
in 2014, or 2001, or 1989, or 1979. It started upon its hollow
victory at the end of WWII.
Since then it has only brought terrorism
into the world.
And terror invites terror. Recent history has imprinted this truth
onto the books of nations and kingdoms.
Countries that pursue the policy of supporting terrorist
groups, whether nearby, or on the other side of the planet, deserve
no sympathy when those groups grow a mind of their own and start
acting independently. Included in this list are the United States,
Israel, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, England, and France.

Decision-makers and scholars often assume that diplomatic

their ability to convey their messages to others and to correctly
interpret others behavior. Robert Jervis research shows that this
is not true and that international politics often resembles the
famous Japanese movie Rashomon. Perceptions are strongly influenced
by peoples theories and expectations on the one hand and their

in Iran, March 1980, Secret, CREST". The document is a summary of

General Hassan Pakravan, the second chief of the Shah's secret
police, SAVAK, had all the pedigrees needed to be regarded as an
Iranian silver spoon fed aristocrat. His father was the governor of
Khorasan province, amongst his many other titles and his mother,

some of his disciples, reacting to the former US president, Jimmy
Carter, who had claimed what Khomeini was doing, was not
Islamic!
