Ukrainian Counteroffensives Second Week Ends in Failure "IndyWatch Feed War"

By Scott Ritter Sputnik 17.06.2023

Operation enters the second week of Ukraines long-awaited and highly touted counteroffensive, some basic conclusions can be drawn even though the fighting continues, and will continue to rage, for some time to come.

First and foremost, the counteroffensive gambit has failed. While there is still considerable combat strength left in the Ukrainian military, including more than 75% of the NATO-trained and -equipped 60,000-strong cohort Ukraine had assembled in the past eight months, fundamentally flawed assumptions about the quality of the force on which Ukraine and its NATO allies had placed their collective hopes for victory over Russia have been exposed. In short, Ukraine lacks the military capacity to overcome Russian defenses.

Ukraines most elite assault brigades, equipped with the latest Western military technology, failed to advance out of what Russian defensive doctrine calls the cover line of defensethe buffer that is designed to channel and disrupt an attacking force prior to reaching the main line of defense. Ukrainian casualties were extremely heavy, with Russia achieving a 10:1 kill ratio in terms of manpower, which is unsustainable from the Ukrainian perspective. The reasons for the Ukrainian failure are fundamental in nature, meaning that they cannot be overcome as things currently stand and, as such, the Ukrainian military has zero chance of success, no matter how hard they press subsequent attacks.

First and foremost is the quality of the Russian defenses, especially in terms of the barrier network (minefields, obstacles, and trenches) which, when combined with the tenacity of the Russian defender and the overwhelming superiority Russia enjoys in terms of fire support (both artillery and air-delivered), is the reason the Ukrainians are unable to advance beyond the cover layer of the Russian defenses. Ukrainian equipment and tactics are insufficient to the task of breaching the Russian obstacle barriers in any meaningful manner, dooming the attacking forces to be destroyed piecemeal by Russian artillery and air strikes, as well as local counterattacks mounted by Russian special forces.

Besides the poor tactics and equipment deficiencies (yes, the Leopard tanks and Bradley fighting vehicles were not the miracle weapons Ukraine and its Western supporters had hyped them up to be), the Ukrainians are paying the price for Russias impressive suppression of enemy air defense (SEAD) campaign that has been ongoing for many weeks now.

Russian fixed-wing aircraft have been able to deliver precision-guided munitions with deadly effect to the assembly areas used by Ukraine to gather their attacking forces pri...

Ukraine drone attack on Russian oil pipeline to EU failed, official says "IndyWatch Feed War"

RT | June 17, 2023

Ukrainian drones have attempted to strike the Druzhba pipeline that delivers Russian oil to several European countries, Bryansk Region governor Alexander Bogomaz has said. He added that the attack was thwarted by Russian air defenses.

On his Telegram channel on Saturday, Bogomaz wrote: Last night, air defense units of the Russian armed forces repelled the Ukrainian militarys attack on the oil-pumping station Druzhba. According to the official, a total of three UAVs were brought down.

Last month, the Washington Post claimed, citing leaked Pentagon documents, that back in February Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky had suggested to Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko that Kiev should just blow up the [Druzhba] pipeline, which pumps oil to Hungary and other states.

According to the report, Zelensky described the destruction of Hungarian [Prime Minister] Viktor Orbans industry as one of his goals.

While Zelensky dismissed the allegations as fantasies, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto several days later accused Kiev of virtually attacking Hungarys sovereignty by supposedly plotting to undermine the security of Budapests energy supply.

Around that same time, a loading station of the Druzhba oil pipeline in Bryansk Region was shelled by Ukrainian forces, with three fuel storage tanks, all of them empty, damaged as a result.

In March, Transneft, the pipeline operator, reported that several drones had dropped explosives in the vicinity of an oil-pumping station. Multiple incidents of shelling had taken place before that as well.

The Druzhba (Friendship) pipeline is one of the largest oil-transport networks in the world, spanning some 4,000 kilometers (2,485 miles) and transporting oil from Russia to Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany.

Bryansk Region, which is adjacent to Ukraine, has repeatedly been targeted by cross-border strikes.

In March, a Ukraine-based neo-Nazi unit conducted a sortie into the region.

Lavrov: London and Washington control collective West "IndyWatch Feed World"

London and Washington run the show in the "rules-based world order," trying to dictate policy to their own allies as well as countries outside the West, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told RT on Friday. Russia fully understands that building relations with other countries needs to be based on mutual benefits and equal partnerships, Lavrov said in an interview with RT at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). Unequal confrontation between Vilnius and Beijing "IndyWatch Feed Asia"

Unequal confrontation between Vilnius and Beijing

At the end of April in Lithuania, one of the major NATO countries, the local Foreign Ministry initiated a conference on NATO and the Indo-Pacific Region, where Vilnius tried to contribute to the unfolding confrontation with China in accordance with the trends set by the United States. It is noteworthy that the Baltic state stood out noticeably against the other participants the United States, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand for its complete noninvolvement in the affairs of the region in question.

Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis insisted on the need to build closer cooperation between NATO and democratic states of the Indo-Pacific Region. He warned his colleagues about the increasing interaction between authoritarian regimes aimed at reformatting the world order. He called for abandoning the development of trade and economic relations with them, especially to get away from the EUs dangerous dependence on China.

Deputy Foreign Minister Egidijus Meilnas sounded even more bellicose, directly accusing Russia, China, and North Korea of cooperatively threatening the collective West. Reference was also made to the conflict in Ukraine, which Beijing allegedly uses to assess the ability of the democratic community to resist aggressive actions.

The lack of independence of the Lithuanian authorities, who are willing to get involved even in conflicts that are clearly detrimental and make absolutely no sense to them, is astonishing. In November-December 2021, the first incident in bilateral relations between Vilnius and Beijing already took place. The Taipei Trade Relations Bureau was opened in Lithuania, which, without official status, de facto performs the functions of a Tai...

Ukraines failed Mala Tokmachka assault lays bare counteroffensive challenges "IndyWatch Feed War"

Introduction June 16, 2023

Days before the Western mainstream media could put its spin on events, videos and photos of wrecked Ukrainian tanks and fighting vehicles were all over the internet.

As far as Ukraines backers in the corporate media were concerned there was no going back. They had to acknowledge that Ukrainian forces had taken casualties and then move on.

Thats what the Guardian tries to do in the following but readers will note that it makes no attempt to see how this fits into the broader Ukrainian counteroffensive. Thats because what happened at Mala Tokmachka is symptomatic of what happened across Ukraines counteroffensive as a whole.

Ukrainian forces made little headway and took heavy casualties in the process. Unfortunately, we dont think that this will make Ukraines backers see reason. The West is already getting ready to double down with Spain and Germany pledging to send more Leopard II tanks to Ukraine.

Meanwhile the article goes onto quote Phillips P OBrien, professor of strategic studies at the University of St Andrews, who says such losses are to be expected.

In other words, the West really does intend to fight to the last Ukrainian and its using the media and various pundits like OBien in order to achieve that. As a result young Ukrainian teenagers are being recruited and sent to the frontline with just 3 or 4 days basic training.

Having fought in the Rhodesian Army Special Forces I know that that is just not enough. I was only sent into battle after six months basic training and even then I went in as part of a four-man team, with the other three being battle-hardened veterans who watched over me.

Sending such young recruits with so little training to the front is symptomatic of a regime on its last legs.

My heart goes out to these young Ukrainians. Truly, they are being sent like lambs to the slaughter while the Western MSM cheers them on. Ed.

NUCLEAR ESCALATION: Biden to approve transfer of depleted URANIUM to Ukraine for first time since Russian invasion "IndyWatch Feed War"

Ethan Huff Natural News June 16, 2023

For the first time since the Russian invasion, the Biden regime is transferring depleted uranium shells to Ukraine in what appears to be the next step in the escalation of World War III.

For the past several months, the Biden clown car of transgenders and deviants has been debating whether or not to send the nuclear armaments to Volodymyr Zelensky, who continues to receive welfare check after welfare check from American taxpayers.

According to Bidens people, there are no major obstacles to sending these depleted uranium shells, so why not? They are to be used to equip M1 Abrams tanks that, like everything else in Zelenskys possession, was procured by Washington, D.C., via American taxpayers.

It was Ukraine itself that requested these nuclear munitions, stating that the Pentagram (Pentagon) has urged that the Abrams tanks the U.S. is providing Ukraine be armed with depleted-uranium rounds, which are regularly used by the U.S. Army and are highly effective against Russian tanks.

(Related: The Pentagon has been itching for nuclear war with Ukraine since at least last fall, threatening to drop bombs if Putin does not pull out of the country.)

Ukraine and the West are the problem, not Russia

While less radioactive and threatening than actual nukes, depleted uranium rounds are still technically nuclear. There are concerns that the soils they land on will become contaminated in a similar way to nuclear fallout, though less extreme.

Nevertheless, the sending of these munitions represents another escalation in Ukraine and the Wests war against Russia, the latter of which is trying to cleanse one of the worlds most corrupt nations, Ukraine, of its U.S.-run bioweapons laboratories that continue to threaten the rest of the world.

The United Kingdom has already been providing Ukraine with armor-piercing rounds containing depleted uranium for its Challenger 2 main battle tanks. The British defense ministry first announced this back in late March.

Russia was swift to condemn the UK for this move, stating that it is akin to using a dirty bomb, given the highly dangerous remnant effects of depleted uraniums use on the battlefield.

Such rounds are highly effective in defeating modern tanks and armored vehicles, the UK defense ministry said at the time, to which Moscow responded with:

These shells not only kill, but infect the environment and cause oncology in people living on these lands.

For many years, international watchdog groups have been pressing to get depleted uranium shells banned via international treat...

Russian official- Nuclear weapons may be necessary to make (((NATO))) back off

https://globalaffairs.ru/articles/tyazhkoe-no-neobhodimoe-reshenie/

This article has sparked major debate among experts in Russia about nuclear weapons, their role and the conditions of their use.

This is especially the case given Sergey Karaganovs status as a former presidential adviser to both Boris Yeltsin and Vladimir Putin, and his position as head of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, a noted Moscow think tank.

KaraganovIt seems to me that our country and its leadership are facing a difficult choice. It is increasingly clear that the clash with the West will not end if we win a partial or even a crushing victory in Ukraine

The West is losing the ability it had for five centuries to suck out wealth from the whole world, imposing, first of all, by brute force, political, economic orders and establishing its cultural dominance. So, a quick end to the defensive, but aggressive confrontation unfolded by the West is not to be expected. This collapse of moral, political and economic positions had been brewing since the mid-1960s, was interrupted by the collapse of the USSR, but resumed with renewed vigor in the 2000s (the milestones were the defeats of the Americans and their allies in Iraq, Afghanistan, as well as 2008.

On The Failure Of The Ukrainian Counterattack "IndyWatch Feed War"

On June 4/5 the Ukrainian military launched its long announced counteroffensive in southeast Ukraine. Ten days later there is no significant progress.

This is not the outcome the war propagandists expected:

[General Petreus] spoke about the situation in Ukraine to BBC Radio 4s Today programme.

On the counteroffensive, he said:

I think that this counteroffensive is going to be very impressive.

My sense is that they will achieve combined arms effects in other words, they will successfully carry out combined arms operations where you have engineers that are breaching the obstacles and diffusing the minefields and so forth; armour following right on through protected by infantry against anti-tank missiles; air defence keeping the Russians aircraft off them; electronic warfare jamming their radio networks; logistics right up behind them; artillery and mortars right out in front of them.

And most important of all is that as the lead elements inevitably culminate after 72-96 hours, physically thats about as far as you can go, and theyll have taken losses you have follow-on units that will push right on through and capitalise on the progress and maintain the momentum and I think that can get the entire Russian defence in that area moving, then I think you have other opportunities that will open up on the flanks as well.

Back in reality the lead elements of the Ukrainian attack got slaughtered. They culminated, i.e. lost their ability for further attacks, in less than a day:

BREAKING: Cyber attack hits federal agencies; Hackers announce another attack they say will target Western banking system "IndyWatch Feed War"

Leo Hohmann leohohmann.com June 15, 2023

There is breaking news today, June 15, that several agencies of the U.S. federal government have been hit with a cyber attack, the extent of which is not yet known, while another attack targeting the Western financial system has been dangled out there by a group of hackers said to be affiliated with Russia.

This global cyberattack is reportedly exploiting a flaw in widely-used software used by several U.S. federal government agencies.

The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) confirmed the attacks in a statement to CNN.

CISA is providing support to several federal agencies that have experienced intrusions, said Eric Goldstein, CISAs Executive Assistant Director for Cybersecurity. We are working urgently to understand impacts and ensure timely remediation.

The officials have yet to confirm whether the recent string of intrusions may be related to a Russian-speaking ransomware group claiming responsibility for a string of cyberattacks that they say will occur by tomorrow, June 16, targeting the Western financial infrastructure.

Biden, when asked by a reporter about the cyber attack today against the federal agencies, refused to comment.

Several news outlets reported Wednesday evening and into Thursday that three notorious hacktivist groups, KillNet, Anonymous Sudan, and REvil, declared a cyber war on the West targeting banks with membership in the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT). Russia was kicked out of the SWIFT system last year after its invasion of Ukraine as part of a slew of economic sanctions that have largely backfired on the West.

The three hacker groups declared their intention to unleash a massive cyber onslaught on the European banking system, threatening to bring it to its knees within 48 hours (this threat as made Wednesday afternoon), the Russian online newspaper Lenta.ru reported Wednesday. The hacker groups are claiming this will be a devastating cyber attack that shuts down the flow of money that is financing the military aid to Ukraine. (See below)

That is irrefutable evidence that he is nothing more than a puppet.

You obviously do not care who is really calling the shots. So far, these people behind the curtain using Biden have destroyed the world economy by corrupting SWIFT, the sanctions on Russia have only divided the world economy ending globalism. Then they have the audacity to threaten China that if they supply arms to Russia there will be sanctions against them. All of this is when the US is supplying arms to Ukraine. They have transformed the USA from the policeman of the world to the arrogant world dictator.

There was the One China policy and the Biden administration has abandoned decades of peace ensuring now that China has no choice but to invade Taiwan or appear subservient to the United States. Then these people have NATO expanding opening in Japan to spread dislike exercising their dictatorial power. NATO is now the greatest threat to Europe. The only country that sees this is France. Russia wont let Ukraine be bleeding wound "IndyWatch Feed War"

BY M. K. BHADRAKUMAR | INDIAN PUNCHLINE | JUNE 17, 2023

With the Ukrainian offensive under way for a fortnight, all eyes are on the battlefields, and, crucially, Russias options ahead. In a little over three weeks from now, the NATO will be holding a summit in Vilnius and the West has choices to make too. We are arriving at a fork in the road.

The NATO expected the Ukrainian forces to punch through key Russian fortifications by now. In reality, they are struggling to get anywhere near the sprawling layered fortifications and in that desperate attempt, are taking  massive losses, entrapped in minefields and taken to pieces by Russian artillery and missiles and the dreaded multi-role attack helicopters known as Alligator.

The signposts are best seen in Russian President Vladimir Putins Kremlin press conference on Tuesday, lasting over three hours, with war correspondents. In just a weeks time after Ukraines offensive began, 2530 percent of the supplied equipment (from NATO) has been destroyed, Putin said.

Putin underscored three things. First, the goals set for the special military operations are fundamental for us because Ukraine is part of the effort to destabilise Russia. What does that mean?

It means Russian operations will not end without realising the twin objectives of demilitarising Ukraine and uprooting the present neo-Nazi regime in Kiev. The security and welfare of the Russian population also remains a cardinal objective no more pogroms. Putin said Russia is going about realising these objectives gradually, methodically.

Second, Putin flagged: The Ukrainian defence industry will soon cease to exist altogether. What do they produce? Ammunition is delivered, equipment is delivered and weapons are delivered  everything is delivered. You wont live long like that, you wont last. So, the issue of demilitarisation is realised in very practical terms.

Third, the Kremlins preference so far has been to continue to grind down the Ukrainian military, whilst giving selective responses whenever any red lines were crossed eg., Russian strikes on Ukraines energy system, the destruction of the headquarters of the Ukrainian military intelligence. By the way, in that Kiev strike, Russia claims to have seriously injured Ukraines spy chief Kyrylo Budanov, the poster boy of western media.

Going forward, Putin said everything will depend on the potential that is left at the end of this so-called c...

U.S. Sanctions Make Russian Economy Stronger and Precipitate Multipolar World "IndyWatch Feed War"

Strategic Culture Foundation | June 16, 2023

Russias economy is performing strongly, according to recent forecasts from the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. The outcome defies earlier predictions by the United States and its European allies which held that Western sanctions would bring the Russian economy to its knees and force it to submissively Cry Uncle.

When the conflict in Ukraine escalated 16 months ago (after eight years of NATO-sponsored aggression using the Kiev Neo-Nazi regime), various Western politicians and pundits were relishing the prospect of the Russian economy collapsing from Total War launched against its international banking and trade.

Well, it didnt turn out like that. Far from it. As the World Bank noted above, the Western sanctions have simply helped Russia boost alternative markets in China, India, and elsewhere around the globe. A principal earner for Russia is energy exports of oil and gas. Increased sales to Asia have maintained revenues despite the loss of European markets due to Western sanctions.

The paradoxical thing is that U.S. and European sanctions against Russia while intended to cripple the Russian economy have actually made the latter stronger.

Michael Hudson, an American global economics analyst, points out: The sanctions have obliged Russia to become self-sufficient in food production, manufacturing production and consumer goods.

Hudson also notes that the U.S. geopolitical strategy is to use sanctions in order to make its supposed European allies more dependent and subservient to Washington.

Another respected commentator, Glenn Diesen, a Norwegian geoeconomics professor, likened the use of Western sanctions to the self-destructive behavior of self-harm. The United States and European Union, he says, have handed over a huge market to the rest of the world.

Diesen also observes that 85 percent of the worlds population lives in countries that do not comply with Western sanctions against Russia. This global majority is more than ever creating new forms of trade and finance that obviate Western control. A major impetus for this positive development is the necessity bequeathed by Washingtons systematic abuse of power and privilege.

The repercussions...

The Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines were destroyed in a series of near-simultaneous explosions off the Danish island of Bornholm in late September. French President Emmanuel Macron hosted Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for a one-on-one meeting on Friday, a visit that has drawn the ire of human rights groups that are criticising Macron for "rehabilitating" the Saudi leader's international image.

Macron and Mohammed bin Salman met on Friday for a "working lunch" at the president's official residence, Elysee Palace, where the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and regional issues.

The visit comes ahead of a global financial summit taking place in France. France is also a major weapons and defence supplier to Gulf nations including Saudi Arabia.

Rights groups say that Macron's welcoming of Mohammed bin Salman, who has launched an economic pivot as well as a crackdown on civil society and rights activists, points to France's hypocrisy, as it has slammed countries for staying neutral when it comes to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Macron has been silent regarding the human rights situation in Saudi Arabia, despite a call from Amnesty International urging the French president to bring up the issue of several young men in Saudi Arabia that are facing execution.

Putin: Kiev Has Lost 186 Tanks, 418 Armored Vehicles, Losses Mounting "IndyWatch Feed War"

By Ilya Tsukanov Sputnik 16.06.2023

Ukrainian forces launched a long-awaited counteroffensive earlier this month after stocking up on NATO weapons, including Leopard heavy tanks and Bradley fighting vehicles. The offensive has stalled after running into well-prepared Russian defensive lines, with even Kievs Western backers expressing concerns about Ukraines heavy losses.

Ukraine has failed to reach any strategic objectives amid its ongoing counteroffensive, losing 186 tanks and 418 armored vehicles to date as losses continue to mount, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.

In some places Ukrainian forces manage to reach the first line of defense, in some places not. Thats not the question, Putin said, speaking to reporters during the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday.

The question revolves around the fact that they are using their so-called strategic reserves, which consist of several components. The first is meant to be used to break [Russian] defenses, the second to use forces to entrench their foothold over territory. They have not reached their goals at a single section of the front. This is what is important, he said.

Their losses are indeed very large, even more than ten to one compared to the Russian army. This is a fact. In terms of equipment, losses are mounting daily. As of today, this includes 186 tanks lost and 418 armored vehicles of various classes, Putin said.

Russias defense enterprises are working round-the-clock to supply the military with weapons, working double or even triple shifts, Putin said. We have increased the output of military production by 2.7 times, and when it comes to the most needed equipment by 10 times.

As for Ukrainian forces, Putin predicted that soon they will stop using its own equipment entirely because its being systematically destroyed. Everything theyre using to do battle, and everything theyre using is coming from abroad. One cant fight that way for long, he said.

Origins of Conflict

Putin also once again took the opportunity to delve into the root causes of the present crisis, saying the war in Ukraine, in southeastern Ukraine, was started by the Kiev regime with the support of their Western sponsors in 2014. But everyone in the West tries not to speak about this. I am forced to remind them that aviation, tanks, artillery were used used against the Donbass [back then]. What is this if not a war?

Governments that had long been pliant to the Triads wishes, such as the administrations of Narendra Modi in India and Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Trkiye (despite the toxicity of their own regimes), are no longer as reliable.

Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Indias Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has been vocal in defending his governments refusal to accede to Washingtons pressure. In April 2022, at a joint press conference in Washington, DC with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Jaishankar was asked to explain Indias continued purchase of oil from Russia. His...

Kiev pressuring Brazil to attend Peace Summit "IndyWatch Feed War"

By Lucas Leiroz | June 16, 2023

Kiev continues its work to attract supporters in its campaign against Russia. Now, an aide of president Vladimir Zelensky is pressuring Brazil to take part in the so-called Global Peace Summit an event organized by the regime whose intention will be to unilaterally show the Ukrainian proposal for peace, without taking into account Russian interests.

The Head of the Office of the president of Ukraine Andrey Yermak has been speaking to Brazilians in recent days to talk about Ukrainian interest in Brasilias participation in a summit organized to promote Kievs peace proposal. On June 12th, the official spoke to Brazilian journalists linked to CNN and stated that he hopes that Brazil assumes a leadership role in the quest to achieve the solution suggested by the regime.

On the occasion, the head of office highlighted the importance of Brazil and other countries of the Global South in the current geopolitical situation and used this argument to suggest that the emerging powers participate actively in the peace dialogue. However, he highlighted what had already been said previously by Ukrainian authorities: no peace proposal that meets Russian interests will be considered by the regime, and it is necessary to unilaterally meet Ukrainian requirements in order to reach any agreement.

During the interview, Yermak also emphasized the role that Brazil plays in what concerns the environmental debate. According to the Ukrainian authorities, Russia is responsible for the (non-existent under international law) crime of ecocide, which is why it should be punished and isolated internationally. As evidence of this crime, they point to the recent attack on the Novaya Kakhovka dam, which, according to Ukrainians and Westerners was carried out by Russia. However, until now, nothing substantial has been presented to prove Russian responsibility for the attack, while on the other hand, the Ukrainian military had already stated, months before, that they were planning such an operation.

Two days after the controversial interview for CNN, the Ukrainian aide returned to dialogue with Brazilians, this time with Chief Advisor to the President of the Federal Republic of Brazil Celso Amorim. Both officials had already met before, when Amorim visited Kiev to propose to the Ukrainian authorities the creation of a peace club mediated by neutral countries, according...

West Asked Kiev to Kill as Many Russians as Possible Ukrainian MD "IndyWatch Feed War"

According to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense, Kievs sponsors reportedly demanded that the regime eliminate as many Russians as possible as a condition for sending weapons. The case shows how the West really does not expect a Ukrainian victory on the battlefield, only seeking to weaken Russia as much as possible.

Kievs defense chief Aleksey Reznikov claimed during an interview to Foreign Policy that Western supporters, before establishing a policy of unlimited military aid, demanded from Ukraine that as many Russian citizens as possible be killed. Once the extermination of Russians is guaranteed, Western support will be maintained as long as it takes, informed the minister.

On the Real Importance of New Sino-Russian Economic Pacts "IndyWatch Feed Asia"

In March 2023, when Chinas President Xi visited Moscow, he told his Russian counterpart that the scope of the changes taking place in todays world is such that has not been seen for 100 years. The pace and the scope of these changes which we can understand in terms of a visible shift towards a multipolar world warrants a very calculated response. For Russia and China, otherwise seen as two so-called revisionist powers in Washington the best response is to solidify their alliance against the combined assault of the forces i.e., the US-led West, resisting this change. This response was/is at the heart of what we today know as the no limits friendship between both states. And, it is this friendship that saw its recent expansion through multiple economic pacts on trade cooperation. After signing these pacts in Beijing, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that these pacts are characterised by mutual respect of each others interests, the desire to jointly respond to challenges, which is associated with increased turbulence in the international arena and the pattern of sensational pressure from the collective West. Chinese Premier Li Qiang hailed the new era of Sino-Russia ties.

There is no denying that these pacts hold considerable importance as an open defiance of Western sanctions. But their timing also holds crucial importance, as these pacts came immediately after the G-7 summit held in Japan where the combined Western powers targeted China and Russia for various reasons, including the military conflict in Ukraine. While the G7 pledged more support for Ukraine even as Biden announced sending F-16s it also criticised China for its claims on the South China Sea and vowed to resist Beijings so-called economic coercion and human rights abuses in Xinjiang, Tibet and Hing Kong.

For both China and Russia, the Wests desperation is quite visible here. Not only because the West keeps failing in reversing Chinas economic rise and establishing a g...

Trump election victory 'can bring peace' - Hungary "IndyWatch Feed World"

The return of Donald Trump to the White House would herald a "peaceful future," Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has said. Szijjarto and Prime Minister Viktor Orban both believe that Trump's victory in the 2024 US presidential elections would be key to resolving the conflict in Ukraine. "If President Trump had won the last presidential election here in the US, this war would not have broken out," Szijjarto told Newsmax, an American conservative broadcaster, on Tuesday. "During the term of President Trump, there were no Russian attacks against anyone," Szijjarto explained, adding that Hungary looks "at his possible return to the White House as a hope for a peaceful future." While mainstream Republicans have lined up to support US President Joe Biden's policy of indefinite military aid to Ukraine, Trump and a small number of his supporters in Congress have accused Biden of instigating a global war by continuing to rule out peace talks while progressively heavier weapons...

Putin: There Will No Longer BE a Ukraine NATO Direct Intervention Will Not Change Outcome "IndyWatch Feed War"

Hal Turner The Hal Turner Radio Show June 15, 2023

Russian President Vladimir Putin made remarks in a TV interview Wednesday that make clear: There will be no negotiated settlement of Ukraine conflict, there will no longer BE aNATO intervention cannot change the outcome.

Explaining to a TV interviewer why Russia entered Ukraine, he pointed to Luhansk and Donetsk which were being pounded by Kiev Artillery and Mortar fire because those two Oblasts (states) wanted to secede from Ukraine like Crimea did. He told the Interviewer

We were forced to try to end the war that the West started in 2014 by force of arms.

President Putin then went on with remarks that are utterly staggering. He said:

And Russia will end this war by force of arms, freeing the entire territory of the former Ukraine from the United States and Ukrainian Nazis.

There are no other options.

The Ukrainian army of the US and NATO will be defeated, no matter what new types of weapons it receives from the West.

The more weapons there are, the fewer Ukrainians and what used to be Ukraine will remain.

Direct intervention by NATOs European armies will not change the outcome.

But in this case, the fire of war will engulf the whole of Europe.

It looks like the US is ready for that too.

When Putin said And Russia will end this war by force of arms . . . freeing the entire territory of the former Ukraine . . . there are no other options . . . That makes clear there will be no negotiations. This conflict will end with the complete military defeat of Ukraine. But within that statement, Putin also mentioned freeing the entire territory of the FORMER Ukraine . . .

Whoa. The former Ukraine. Such words can only mean one thing: There will not BE a Ukraine anymore!

What other meaning can the words the former Ukraine mean?

Lest there be any question about there being no Ukraine anymore, in his very next sentence, President Putin made that explicitly clear. He went on to say The more weapons there are, the fewer Ukrainians, and what USED TO BE UKRAINE will remain

WHAM! . . . and what USED TO BE UKRAINE . . . . There it is again. No more Ukraine. It wont exist anymore!

He then got directly in the face of NATO by saying The Ukrainian army of the US and NATO will be defeated, no matter what new types of weapons it receives from the West.

Clearly, President Putin is signaling to the West that no matter what weaponry the West sends to Ukraine, Russia will win. Period. Full stop. So what does THAT tell you about the weaponry Russia is willing to use? Most ration...

Welcome to 21st Century Kremlin Watching With a Ukrainian Twist "IndyWatch Feed War"

Larry Johnston SONAR June 14, 2023

Unless you are over the age of 45 you likely do not have living memory of the Kremlin Watching that accompanied major Soviet holidays. The term Kremlin Watching refers to the practice of examining photos like the one above to assess political status in the Soviet Government by identifying the men who occupied the most prominent positions on the viewing stand above Lenins tomb. In this photo from 1965 you can see (from left to right) Anastas Mikoyan, Marshal of the Soviet Union Rodion Malinovsky, Leonid Brezhnev and Alexei Kosygin commemorating the 20th anniversary of victory over the Nazis. CIA analysts were keen to look at these line ups in trying to assess who was up and who was on their way out in wielding political power. Brezhnev and Kosygin held the reins of power. Those were the good old days.

The CIA warned Ukraine not to destroy Nord Stream months before an attack on the gas pipelines, after receiving a tip from Dutch military intelligence, according to media reports.

The Netherlands military intelligence agency, MIVD, received information about an imminent attack on Nord Stream from an unnamed source in Ukraine in June, three months before a series of underwater explosions hit the pipes last September, a joint investigation by Dutch and German news outlets published Tuesday shows.

According to the plan received by MIVD, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, General Valery Zaluzhny, was in charge of the operation against Nord Stream, which involved a small team of divers traveling on a sailing boat and was supposed to take place mid-June 2022.

Politico is not the only one spreading this fable; other more prominent outlets, including the Washington Post, New York Times and Reuters, also piled on Zaluzhny. The media is eager to carry the CIAs water and shift blame for the attack from the U.S., which according to Sy Hershs excellent reporting, hatched and carried out the sabotage.

Kiev intends to kill as many Russians as possible - top Zelensky aide "IndyWatch Feed World"

Kiev intends to kill as many Russians as possible - top Zelensky aide | 15 Jun 2023 | Ukraine currently has only one plan, which is a campaign to kill the maximum number of Russians, Mikhail Podoliak, an advisor to the chief of President Vladimir Zelensky's office [and Grade 'A' sociopath], said on the air during a telemarathon on Thursday. "There is only one plan: the most brutal advance with the maximum killing of Russians on this route," he said, noting that Kiev "can't just stop somewhere and say, 'all right, let's think and talk about something now.'" "The only possible scenario for Ukraine is to reach its 1991 borders," he said. Back in May, Podoliak also proclaimed that his country hates Russia and those who represent it and vowed to "persecute" Russians "always and everywhere." Earlier this week, Ukraine's Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov revealed that Kiev had been instructed by its Western backers in the early days of the conflict to "kill as many Russians" as it could before surrendering. Biden mulling 'Israel model' for Ukraine - NYT "IndyWatch Feed World"

Biden mulling 'Israel model' for Ukraine - NYT --Washington reportedly opposes offering NATO membership while the nation is at war but may vow to arm it for years to come | 14 June 2023 | Joe Biden's administration is reluctant to offer Ukraine full NATO membership and is instead pushing for the "Israel model," meaning a time-limited commitment to maintain the flow of Western weapons to the country, the New York Times has reported. The pledge would fall short of a collective defense guarantee, which Kiev and some Eastern European members of NATO are advocating, the newspaper said on Wednesday, citing officials familiar with the deliberations. A possible commitment to Kiev would be shorter than the ten-year agreement that is signed with Israel, the report explained. Opponents of Ukraine's accession to NATO are concerned it would further escalate the crisis with Moscow. They have argued that by joining the organization, Ukraine would play "into [the] Russian narrative" about the nature of the conflict, according to the report. Russian officials have described the hostilities in Ukraine as part of a U.S.-led proxy war against their country. Moscow has called NATO's expansion in Europe one of the key causes of the conflict.

Blinken to Visit China What Could Go Wrong? "IndyWatch Feed World"

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is set to visit Beijing this weekend. Blinken was originally scheduled to visit China in February, but it was delayed after Chinese spy balloons entered US airspace. Sending Blinken to China is like sending a thief to rob the headquarters of the National Rifle Association. Blinken has repeatedly offended China and gushed over the prospects of war. China does not want war, they repeatedly requested for the US to stay out of its affairs.

The meeting is already off to a bad start here. Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang called Blinken on Tuesday to remind him to show respect before he arrives. CNN already reported that Blinken plans to discuss Taiwan and will advocate strongly for military communications. These do not align with the main goals of the meeting which is intended to discuss global macroeconomic stability, global security matters, and establishing proper communication channels. Chinas military is not going to form an open line of communication with the US military. China does not advocate the war in Ukraine and has repeatedly tried to remain neutral.

I hope that the U.S. side will take practical actions to implement the important consensus of the meeting between the two heads of state in Bali, move in the same direction as the Chinese side, effectively manage differences, promote exchanges and cooperation, and promote the stabilization of China-US relations, Qin said, according to the South Chi...

Killing the Story: Bakhmut, Nick Cohen, Kakhovka, Nord Stream, and Piers Morgan "IndyWatch Feed War"

The late writer, broadcaster and wit Clive James formulated what he called the Barry Manilow Law:

Everyone you know thinks Barry Manilow is absolutely terrible. But everyone you dont know thinks hes great. (James, cited Martin Amis, Inside Story, Vintage, 2020, e-book, p.74)

Everyone you know thinks BBC News is absolutely terrible. But everyone you dont know thinks its great.

The BBC wasnt always quite this bad. When we started out in 2001, people like Director of News Richard Sambrook and Newsnight editor Peter Barron sent us long, respectful replies to our analysis. We were invited to appear on BBC One, BBC Two and BBC radio (we were interviewed by BBC Radio Five Live). Barron even blogged about us positively on the BBC website.

All of this has gone. Our criticisms, now, are met with paranoid silence. And there is much for BBC journalists to be paranoid about, for they are now clearly operating as de facto agents of state.

When the US targeted Syria for regime change in 2011, a flood of anti-Assad atrocity claims and pro-rebel propaganda washed across the BBCs news pages. The BBCs campaign ended the moment the US campaign for regime change ended. When Iran, Venezuela and Libya fell under the US crosshairs, the same BBC propaganda machine cranked into action. Similarly, anyone measuring BBC performance 2022-2023, will find hundreds of reports and comment pieces country is technically not at war with Russia certainly Russia is not attacking us. It couldnt be more obvious that when the green light for war and regime change is on, the BBC is expected to host daily propaganda pieces to generate public support.

Taiwans US Representative Not Satisfied with Bidens Support "IndyWatch Feed War"

Bi-khim Hsiao, Taiwans Representative in the United States, is a familiar figure in the halls of power but she does not often make public speeches. So a recent talk and press conference by Ms. Hsiao deserve some attention.

The One China Policy, endorsed by the US and UN, does not recognize Taiwan Island as an independent country but as part of China, with the government in Beijing providing the official ambassadors to the US and UN. Hence Hsiao is not an ambassador but a representative, and her organization is known as the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO). Her presence and activities in the US are sensitive points in the US-China relationship, which is why she does not often make public appearances.

We might expect therefore that Hsiao had something of considerable consequence to communicate to an American audience. And so she did, but her message did not center exclusively on Taiwan. Hsiao and the reporters in attendance wished to discuss a country over 8000 km away from Taiwan, almost at the opposite end of Eurasia Ukraine.

The Tragedy of Ukraine in the eyes of Taipeis Representative

In her opening remarks, Hsiao stated: The Ukraine war has actually generated a lot more attention and interest in Taiwans defense needs. And so there has been an increase in initiatives to find ways to support Taiwan so that that tragedy will not be repeated in our scenario.

Tragedy indeed. Hsiao, like everyone else in the world, is well aware of the devastation that has been visited on Ukraine as a result of Bidens cruel proxy war on Russia using Ukrainians as cannon fodder. The tragedy of Ukraine has focused not only Hsiaos mind but mightily distressed all the people of Taiwan Island. This led to the landslide defeat in the 2022 local elections of Hsiaos Party, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), which is the home of secessionist sentiment and hostility to Beijing. The DPP was soundly thrashed by the Kuomintang (KMT), the Party that wishes to maintain the status quo with the mainland, leave in place the strategic ambiguity of the One China Policy and take a peaceful approach to Beijing.

The first thing that struck me about the press conference was the unreality of Hsiaos purpose, bordering on insanity. Here we had Taiwans envoy discussing war with Mainland China which has the largest PPP-GDP in the world and 18% of all of humanity. Taiwans population is 24 million, and it is the size of Maryland.

The bureau chief of the Christian Science Monitor, and host of the event, expressed a similar incredulity, asking in the opening question: Russia versus Ukraine is one thing, but China versus Taiwan is a much more extreme exampl......

This unnamed person in RNZ committed the cardinal sin of inappropriate editing of incoming Reuters news feeds on the war in Ukraine to insert Russian garbage in the contemptuous words of Paul Thompson, chief executive of RNZ. That is to say, they drew on Russian news sources to insert balancing pro-Russian material to the incoming Western news agency feeds.

The Guardian tells us that in fact accurate information about Ukraine was added to the Reuters copy:

The articles in question made a range of amendments: adding the word coup to describe the Maidan revolution; changing a description of Ukraines former pro-Russian president to read pro-Russian elected government; adding references to a pro-western government that had suppressed ethnic Russians; and on several occasions adding references to Russian concerns about neo-Nazi elements in Ukraine.

And more truth was added to the story, The Guardian says:

In one article, a paragraph was added reading: The Kremlin also said its invasion was sparked by a failure to implement the Minsk agreement peace accords, designed to give Russia speakers autonomy and protection, and the rise of a neo-Nazi element in Ukraine since a coup ousted a Russian-friendly Ukrainian government in 2014.

Another added that Russia launched its invasion claiming that a US-backed coup in 2014 with the help of neo-Nazis had created a threat to its borders and had ignited a civil war that saw Russian-speaking minorities persecuted.

This, it seems, is an offence not...

By using its nuclear weapons, Russia could save humanity from a global catastrophe - Chairman of Russia's Council on Foreign and Defense Policy "IndyWatch Feed World"

This article has sparked major debate among experts in Russia about nuclear weapons, their role and the conditions of their use. This is especially the case given Sergey Karaganov's status as a former presidential adviser to both Boris Yeltsin and Vladimir Putin, and his position as head of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, a noted Moscow think tank. Some prominent figures have reacted with dismay, while others have been less critical. RT has decided it would be beneficial for our readers to read it in full. The following piece has been translated and lightly edited. Our country, and its leadership, seems to me to be facing a difficult choice. It is becoming increasingly clear that our clash with the West will not end even if we achieve a partial - let alone a crushing - victory in Ukraine. Even if we completely liberate the Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, it will be a minimal victory. A slightly greater success would be to liberate the whole of eastern...

De-Escalation Can Start with Ending All Nuclear Weapons Sharing "IndyWatch Feed War"

Ivy Mike (yield 10.4 mt) an atmospheric nuclear test conducted by the U.S. at Enewetak Atoll on 1 November 1952. It was the worlds first successful hydrogen bomb.

By John LaForge, Antiwar.com, June 15, 2023

Ukraine, the United States, and NATO have condemned what they correctly called Russian President Putins dangerous and irresponsible plan to soon deploy nuclear weapons to neighboring Belarus.

On June 9, Mr. Putin announced that Moscow would deploy its nuclear weapons next month, reporting that work on new facilities for housing the weapons in Belarus would be complete by July 7-8.

Mr. Putin had said on March 25 that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenkos right: He says were your closest allies. Why do the Americans deploy their nuclear weapons to their allies, on their territory, train the crews, and pilots how to use this type of weapon if needed? We agreed that we will do the same.

Indeed, the United States has transferred more than 100 of its 50- and 170-kiloton nuclear gravity bombs known as B61s to bases in Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Turkey, where allied pilots rehearse nuclear weapons attacks using their allied fighter jets. Case in point, NATOs Air Defender 2023, a nine-day German-led, international war game involving 24 countries live-flying all across Germany, just began Monday June 12, in the midst of the hot war in Ukraine.

Point of information: The Associated Press keeps calling the nuclear weapons in question tactical, so it must be recalled that the city-busting Hiroshima bomb was a 15-kiloton device far less destructive than todays B61 tactical H-bombs.

Now Putin and Lukashenko intend to copy U.S. practice and violate the terms of the 1970 Treaty on the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) in the same way that the United States has. Any such transfer constitutes not just a violation of the N...

Ukraine myths used to justify Putins terror "IndyWatch Feed War"

Myths concocted by Putin shills, but widely believed even by well-intentioned peace activists, anti-imperialists and fence-sitters

by Michael Karadjis

Below are a series of well-known assertions that have been spread about the situation in Ukraine since 2014. All of them are complete myths, as this review will demonstrate. Of course, this is not the only place these myths are demolished, but they are so widespread that the more they are shot down, the better. Because although they may have been invented by apologists for Putins war of neo-Tsarist conquest, unfortunately many of them are believed by a large number of western leftists, peace activists and fence-sitters, including many who are well-intentioned and who oppose Putin and simply want the war to end; believing myths that show that both sides are at fault often provides some kind of psychological sustenance to these positions. While the Ukrainian government can certainly be criticised for many things, like any government can, there is simply no two sides story in a blatant and horrifically brutal act of 19th century style imperialist conquest.

This list of myths is an ongoing project and new ones will be added as time permits. All suggestions welcome. Lets begin at the beginning with one of the more absurd myths.

Hundreds of thousands of people peacefully protesting in the streets against a malignant government is described, incredibly, as a coup

Myth 1: The Maidan uprising of 2014 was a US-orchestrated coup.

America At War Provoking The Consequences "IndyWatch Feed War"

By Christopher Black New Eastern Outlook 15.06.2023

The United States of America is at war with Russia. There is not much point in using terms such as proxy war to describe the situation. If a belligerent in a war is acting as a proxy for another power and that power is not engaged directly in the war, the term can be useful. But when the power, for which the proxy engages in the war, is directly involved in the war itself, then it is a co-belligerent, a party to the war directly, not simply by proxy.

The issue is whether each state is pursuing its own interests and has its own independent means of doing so, or whether the interests and forces of the allied powers are subordinate to the interests and forces of a leader. In such a case, the enemy being attacked can regard all its opponents as a single entity.

In this regard, Clausewitz said that, if you can vanquish all your enemies by defeating one of them, that defeat must be the main objective of the war. In this one enemy, we strike at the centre of gravity of the entire conflict.

If we analyse the war in the Ukraine theatre of operations in these terms, it becomes clear that the Ukrainian military forces are in fact forces of the United States of America. They have been created, armed, trained, supplied, financed, and are directed and commanded by the Americans, for American interests. The government for whom they nominally fight is a puppet state, installed in power by the United States and its NATO allies in a coup detat in 2014. It has no independent interests outside of American ones, and no control over the war or the forces nominally under its command.

The United States of America is the leader of a hostile military alliance, the purpose of which, since its inception, has been to isolate, threaten, attack and destroy Russia, has conspired with its alliance for years to achieve this end, has spent vast resources to prepare the attack, and has, with malice and determination, sabotaged any proposals for peace. It insists on war. It is the centre of gravity of the entire conflict.

The American government claims that it is not engaged even in a proxy war with Russia, that they are merely assisting an independent nation suffering aggression from another, that this does not put them at war with Russia, a war which, they claim, they are trying to avoid despite their actions and daily propaganda.

But, like the British, and the rest, the truth is the United States of America is a party to the war directly, according to all accepted criteria under international law. It supplies money to conduct the war, tanks, armoured vehicles, aircraft, arms, ammunition, military provisions and other war materials, engages its own military forc...

For those who have followed my commentary on this war for any length of time, I beg you to excuse me for yet again returning to a topic that has been a recurring theme for me. I feel compelled to do so both because of my frustration that it encapsulates a concept that still remains poorly understood, and more immediately because earlier today I came across a Twitter post wherein the following was stated: "The Ukrainian Army has taken more territory since June 6th than Russia has since the start of this year." I won't even bother to link to it, because it doesn't matter who said it and where. It is an expression that has been almost ubiquitous among Ukraine/NATO supporters in this war including substantial numbers of supposed "military experts". In essence, it is nothing more than what is commonly referred to as a "cope" a delusion to which one appeals to "cope" with the cognitive dissonance induced by abundant contradictory indications.

Kiev intends to kill as many Russians as possible top Zelensky aide "IndyWatch Feed War"

RT | June 15, 2023

Ukraine currently has only one plan, which is a campaign to kill the maximum number of Russians, Mikhail Podoliak, an advisor to the chief of President Vladimir Zelenskys office, said on the air during a telemarathon on Thursday.

There is only one plan: the most brutal advance with the maximum killing of Russians on this route, he said, noting that Kiev cant just stop somewhere and say alright, lets think and talk about something now.

The only possible scenario for Ukraine is to reach its 1991 borders, he said.

Back in May, Podoliak also proclaimed that his country hates Russia and those who represent it and vowed to persecute Russians always and everywhere. That followed comments by Kirill Budanov, the head of Ukraines military intelligence agency, who boasted that his agents had murdered Russian public figures and pledged that Kiev will keep killing Russians anywhere on the face of this world.

Earlier this week, Ukraines Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov revealed that Kiev had been instructed by its Western backers in the early days of the conflict to kill as many Russians as it could before surrendering.

We asked, can we have stingers? Reznikov told Foreign Policy magazine in an interview published on Tuesday. We were told, No, dig trenches and kill as many Russians as you can before its over.

The minister boasted that since then Ukraines forces have received a large number of Western weapons and heavy arms and stated that Kiev will also soon be equipped with F-16 fighter jets.

The West has continued to provide billions of dollars worth of military aid to Kiev, with the stated intention of helping Ukrainian forces score as many battlefield successes as possible before the conflict is eventually settled at the negotiating table.

Last month, however, US Senator Lindsey Graham hinted at Washingtons true intentions in continuing to fuel the conflict. During a meeting with Zelensky in Kiev, Graham expressed glee at the fact that the Russians are dying and said later in the meeting that the billions of dollars that the US has poured into Ukraine was the best money weve ever spent.

Russia-linked APT Gamaredon update TTPs in recent attacks against Ukraine "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

Russia-linked APT group Gamaredon is using a new toolset in attacks aimed at critical organizations in Ukraine.

The Gamaredon APT group (aka Shuckworm, Actinium, Armageddon, Primitive Bear, UAC-0010, and Trident Ursa) continues to carry out attacks against entities in Ukraine, including security services, military, and government organizations.

Symantec researchers reported that in some cases, the cyberespionage group remained undetected in the target networks for three months. The threat actors focuses on stealing sensitive information such as reports about the deaths of Ukrainian military service members, enemy engagements and air strikes, arsenal inventories, military training, and more.

Gamaredon Group is a Cyber Espionage persistent operation attributed to Russians FSB (Federal Security Service) in a long-term military and geo-political confrontation against the Ukrainian government and more in general against the Ukrainian military power.

Gamaredon has been active since 2014, its activity focus on Ukraine, the group was observed using the multistage backdoor Pteranodon/Pterodo.

Symantec pointed out that the group has repeatedly refreshed its toolset to avoid detection, the researchers discovered new versions of known tools and observed the group using short-lived infrastructure.

The attack chain commences with spear-phishing emails with malicious attachments (.docx, .rar, .sfx (self-extracting archives), .lnk, .hta (HTML smuggling files)) using armed conflicts, criminal proceedings, combating crime, and protection of children, as a lure.

The group recently used new variants of the Pteranodon implant that are distributed using a new PowerShell script.

Shuckworm has also been observed using a new PowerShell script in order to spread its custom backdoor malware, Pterodo, via USB. Researchers from Symantec, part of Broadcom, blogged about Backdoor.Pterodo in April 2022, documenting how we had found four variants of the backdoor with similar functionality. reads the report published by Symante...

Russia Taking Note of New Leaks Regarding Nord Stream Sabotage Kremlin "IndyWatch Feed War"

Sputnik 14.06.2023

MOSCOW Moscow is taking note of new leaks related to the Nord Stream sabotage, considering them to potentially be deliberate attempts to divert attention from those really involved in the attack, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.

Of course, we thoroughly record different leaks and paid publications seen here and there in the media around the terrorist attack and sabotage of the Nord Stream. Each theory deserves attention We cannot rule out that the information is being deliberately disseminated so as to divert attention from the real organizers of this terrorist attack against critical international infrastructure, Peskov said.

Meanwhile, Russia is still not allowed to participate in the investigation into the blasts, the spokesman noted, adding that Moscow will continue to insist on a transparent and inclusive probe.

On Tuesday, a US media reported, citing officials familiar with the matter, that before the bombings, Dutch military intelligence officials had notified the CIA that a Ukrainian sabotage team was seeking a yacht on the Baltic coastline to be used by divers to plant explosives along the Nord Stream pipelines. The CIA, in turn, warned Ukraine against the sabotage, it added.

The Nord Stream pipelines, built to deliver gas under the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany, were hit by explosions in September 2022. The pipelines operator, Nord Stream AG, said that the damage was unprecedented and it was impossible to estimate the time repairs might take.

Denmark, Germany and Norway have left Russia out of their investigations into the attack, prompting Moscow to launch its own investigation over the charge of international terrorism.

No official results of the investigations have yet been announced, but Pulitzer Prize-winning US investigative journalist Seymour Hersh published a report in February 2023, alleging that the explosions had been organized by the United States with the support of Norway. Washington has denied any involvement in the incident.

The UN has warned that due to an unprecedented funding crisis, it will be cutting food aid to at least 2.5 million Syrians.

More than 5.5 million Syrians rely on the UN World Food Programme (WFP) for their basic food needs.

The WFP is in the process of drawing up plans to prioritise the remaining three million Syrians who are unable to make it from one week to the next without food assistance.

The UN body warned that if it continued to provide aid to all the 5.5 million people in need it would run out of food completely by October.

Instead of scaling up or even keeping pace with increasing needs, were facing the bleak scenario of taking assistance away from people, right when they need it the most, said WFP Representative and Country Director in Syria, Kenn Crossley, in a statement.

Finding hard cash for Syrians amid the war in Ukraine, a growing humanitarian crisis in Sudan, and a long-simmering one in Yemen might be difficult.

The amount of money needed to feed Syrians alone is staggering, with the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterre...

Moscow estimates Ukraine's counteroffensive losses "IndyWatch Feed World"

Ukraine has lost several thousand service members since launching its much-anticipated counteroffensive earlier this month, Russia's Defense Ministry claimed on Wednesday. In a statement, the ministry said that Kiev's forces have suffered some 7,500 killed or wounded, with the tally only including service members on the front line, and not those struck by Russian high-precision missiles and airstrikes deeper into Ukrainian territory. The estimated losses encompass the period from June 4, when the Russian Defense Ministry reported it had repelled a large-scale Ukrainian offensive along five sections of the front line in Donbass. Since then, Kiev's troops have attempted to storm Russian positions on numerous occasions, failing to gain any ground, according to Moscow. The ministry added that in the last 24 hours, Russian troops had repelled two Ukrainian attacks near the settlement of Makarovka in the southern sector of the front. The assaults involved two Ukrainian motorized infantry...

A Credible Explanation of How Kakhovka Dam Was Blown Up "IndyWatch Feed War"

Though Western news media have gotten their explanation of this event from Ukraines Government, it never made sense that Russia would have wanted to flood, harm, and weaken, the entire western half of the territory that Russia now controls in the former Ukraine, including in Crimea (which was getting its water-supply from that dam).

The anonymous author of the Moon of Alabama website has a long and almost flawless record of accurately exposing realities that mainstream U.S.-and-allied news-media had been hiding, and the latest such is his June 13 Did Russia Destroy The Nova Kakhovka Dam? His report there turns upside-down and inside-out the Ukrainian Governments explanation that the dam had been bombed not by a missile, but by an explosive device which had been placed there by saboteurs whom Ukraines Government assumes were from Russia. U.S.-Government-approved news-media accept and amplify that assumption, but MoA does not.

First, he quotes the New York Times and other U.S. Government mouthpieces presenting the Ukrainian Governments explanation of the blow-up; and then he rips it apart by noting the extremely relevant (but in U.S.-and-occupied lands ignored) fact, that on May 12, Britain had supplied to Ukraine its Storm Shadow missiles that are designed to have a two-stage bombing-operation: first, a normal surface bomb, but then after it a fuse-ignited ground-penetrating bomb to explode deeper inside even a fortified and hardened underground target such as that dam was apparently blown up.

The British-supplied Storm Shadow weapon is perfect for this type of destruction exploding from deep underground, instead of from the surface. And whereas Russia doesnt have any Storm Shadows, Ukraine definitely does ever since May 12.

The present news-report about U.S.-and-allied lies is being simultaneously submitted for publication by all of the standard U.S.-Government mouthpiece propaganda-media, just in case any of them might finally want to go beyond their standard U.S.-Government-approved sources.

Ever since at least late 2022, Russia has been warning that Ukraines government wants to blow up that dam. For example, on 1 November 2022, Reuters headlined ...

U.S. knew Ukraine planned to destroy Kakhovka dam - Moscow --Kiev coordinates all targets for the HIMARS rocket launchers with Washington, a top Russian diplomat has said | 14 June 2023 | Washington was perfectly aware of Kiev's plan to destroy the Kakhovka dam since US-supplied HIMARS multiple rocket launchers were used in the attack, high-ranking Russian diplomat Konstantin Gavrilov said on Wednesday. HIMARS launchers are "high-precision systems that make use of the US GPS navigation system for targeting," Gavrilov, who heads Russia's delegation at the Vienna talks on military security and arms control, said. Any targets picked out by Kiev for these systems are "coordinated with the Americans," he added. According to the official, Ukrainian forces struck the Kakhovka dam with more than 300 HIMARS missiles over the summer and autumn of 2022. "The Americans knew about it. The African Peace Plan is Doomed "IndyWatch Feed World"

The neocons are the only ones thirsting for a world war. Putin has been pleading for peace or any form of conflict resolution. South Africas President Cyril Ramaphosa has been discussing a plan to broker peace between Russia and Ukraine and has called on Chinas Xi Jinping for support. The details of the African Peace Plan have yet to be released, but it is backed by South Africa, Uganda, Egypt, Senegal, Zambia, and the Republic of Congo. South Africa is looking for Chinas support before presenting the plan to Zelensky.

The war has only exacerbated the issues faced by African nations, as food and fuel prices have soared. We have been talking about as African leaders because we concluded that that conflict in that part of the world, much as it does not affect Africa directly in the form of deaths and destruction to infrastructure, it does have an impact on the lives of many Africans with regard to food security, the prices of fertilizers have gone up, the prices of cereals have gone up and the prices of fuel, Ramaphosa said.

South Africa is extremely concerned that the war will affect the BRICS alliance, as is China. No one outside of the neocons of the West wants to enter a global conflict. Other nations have been focusing on economic growth and repairing their economies from the disastrously orchestrated pandemic.

President Xi Jinping commended the initiative by the African continent and acknowledged the impact the conflict has had on human lives and on food security in Africa, the presidency statement said. Its focus was on discussing and debating the opportunities and challenges facing the global community in advancing the prospects of ending the war in Ukraine. Its aim was to issue a global call to action and co-create a formal declaration. At its core, the summit stressed the importance of pursuing Peace by peaceful means and the necessity for a Ceasefire and negotiations now.

The summit consisted of in-person and online speakers, panel discussions, and working groups on Ukraine and wider issues of peace, security, and war.

Phill Gittins came away with three things that can be considered as highlights from the summit:

The first thing was the intentional focus on featuring speakers from both the global North and South. Examples included Drs Noam Chomsky and Jeffrey Sachs, Clare Daley (MEP), and David Choquehuan (Vice President, Bolivia), among many others.

The second was engaging in peer-to-peer learning with academics, government, and other civil society actors through working groups that fostered deeper reflection.

The third thing was meeting members of the World BEYOND War movement who have taken our courses, read our books, and/or contributed to the work of our chapters. For example, Eamon Rafter from Ireland, and Regine Steinvik from Norway.

Phill contributed to the Voices for Peace session. He introduced World BEYOND War and its work, before providing some remarks about the importance of youth work, peace education, and direct action i...

Putin: The counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 'sanitary zone' in Ukraine and the goals of the NWO "IndyWatch Feed World"

Russia does not feel the need for additional mobilization, and there is no need to declare martial law throughout the country, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday at a meeting with war correspondents. According to him, Moscow can create a "sanitary zone" in Ukraine if shelling of border areas continues, and its goals, although being adjusted "in accordance with the current situation," have not fundamentally changed. Speaking about the Ukrainian counter-offensive, the President noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have not yet achieved success in any sector and are suffering heavy losses. TASS collected Putin's main statements. On the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of UkraineKiev's large-scale counter-offensive, which began on June 4, continues, but to no avail: "The enemy was not successful in any of the sectors. They have heavy losses."The Armed Forces of Ukraine lose 10 times more than the Russian forces, and "the structure of losses is unfavorable":...

Russian State Duma approves bill banning gender reassignment on first reading "IndyWatch Feed World"

The Russian State Duma has approved on its first reading a bill banning surgical and legal gender reassignment in the latest move by lawmakers to promote so-called "family values." The bill, whose initial reading was approved by Russia's lower house on June 14, must go through two more readings in the State Duma and then be approved by parliament's upper chamber, the Federation Council, before being signed into law by President Vladimir Putin, who has publicly lambasted the idea of gender reassignment. The bill is the latest among numerous conservative moves by the Kremlin since Russia started its ongoing invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

US involvement prevents Ukraine peace Hungary "IndyWatch Feed War"

RT | June 14, 2023

Near-term prospects for ending the Ukraine conflict are not looking good, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told the Turkish Anadolu agency on Wednesday.

Unfortunately, all developments are showing a totally different direction. The weapons deliveries, the very open reference to nuclear capacities, the offensives against each other from the two sides, the Ukrainian soldiers being trained in European countries, the very deep involvement of the Americans. So these are not heading toward peace for sure, he said, during an interview in New York.

Szijjarto also pointed out that Ukraine is only able to fight Russia because of weapons supplied by the US, and that a long-term peace deal would depend on an agreement between Moscow and Washington.

Hungary has repeatedly called for a ceasefire in Ukraine and urged a peaceful resolution of the conflict. Budapest has also refused to allow the transit of Ukraine-bound NATO weapons across its territory, or training of Ukrainian soldiers on its soil.

Late on Tuesday, US Senator Jim Risch of Idaho blocked the sale of HIMARS rocket artillery to Hungary, citing Budapests delay in approving Swedens membership in the US-led military bloc. As the top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Risch is able to hold up the weapons deal, worth an estimated $735 million and involving 24 HIMARS launchers and the ammunition for them.

Hungary is not opposed to Stockholms membership in principle, Szijjarto told Anadolu, but the parliament in Budapest is taking into consideration the insults and interference into the countrys internal affairs coming from Stockholm.

Multiple Swedish officials have accused Hungary of backsliding on democracy and the rule of law and accused PM Viktor Orban of acting like a dictator, as part of an EU campaign to compel obedience from Budapest.

We never interfere in the domestic issues of other countries, Szijjarto said. Such accusations give a reason to put this issue on hold for a while.

NATO is hoping to finalize Swedens membership ahead of next months summit in Vilnius, but even if Hungary succumbs to US pressure, that would still leave Trkiye as a holdout. Ankara has repeatedly said that Stockholm needs to do more to implement the agreement reached last year, involving the extradition of Kurdish activists accused of terrorism.

While the West Seeks Victory in Ukraine, the Global South Seeks Peace "IndyWatch Feed War"

By Ted Snider | The Libertarian Institute | June 14, 2023

There is a revealing difference between the peace proposals for the Russo-Ukrainian War that come from the Global South and peace proposals that come from the NATO-aligned West. For starters, no peace proposals have come from the West, while several have come from the Global South. But when the West talks of a negotiated settlement, they insist on Russia losing the war, granting the essential concessions first and only then negotiating the enforcement. The Global South just wants the killing to stop: first stop the war, then negotiate the settlement.

The West has made its position clear at every stage: dont call for a ceasefire or negotiate during the war. First defeat Russia, then hold talks to impose a settlement. In the early days of the war, when Ukraine was willing to negotiate an end to the fighting, then-United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson was quick to scold Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky that Russian President Vladimir Putin should be pressured, not negotiated with. He added that, even if Ukraine was ready to sign some agreements with Russia, the West was not.

The West refuses to negotiate during the war. Now we see Moscow suggesting that diplomacy take place at the barrel of a gun or as Moscows rockets, mortars, artillery target the Ukrainian people. This is not real diplomacy, State Department spokesperson Ned Price explained. Those are not the conditions for real diplomacy. Dont stop the war by negotiating peace, first win the war, then negotiate. If President Putin is serious about diplomacy, Price said, he knows what he can do. He should immediately stop the bombing campaign against civilians [and] order the withdrawal of his forces from Ukraine.

When China put forward a twelve point peace proposal, the United States dismissed points two through twelve and insisted that the proposal should stop at point one. Point one said that [t]he sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of all countries must be effectively upheld. The American script was clear: first Russia concedes and gives into Western demands, then discuss the peace proposal. My first reaction to it, U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan ......

Ukrainian combat vehicle crews surrender to Russia after being abandon by own commanders "IndyWatch Feed World"

The crews of two Ukrainian BMP-1 infantry combat vehicles have surrendered to Russian troops near the Donbass city of Avdeyevka, TASS reported on Tuesday, citing an unnamed Russian security official. According to the official, a member of a platoon in Ukraine's 110th separate mechanized bridge had radioed Russian troops, requesting "medical assistance for their wounded soldiers" after commanders had "declined" to evacuate his unit. The Ukrainian officer reportedly asked for safe passage and said that "the remainder of his units would surrender with all of their weapons, including two BMP-1s."

SOTT FOCUS: CIA: Black Market of Arms Trade. Part 1 "IndyWatch Feed World"

We can see that the CIA controls a significant part of the arms trade black market. Millions of dollars are being spent on financing terrorist groups and political radicals around the globe. Biden has already allocated more than $50 billion for purchasing weapons for Ukraine. We know that the vast part of this money ends up in the pockets of corrupt CIA agents and officials bribed by them, and are also spent on other illegal activities. In the first part of our investigation, we publish a list of the CIA agents who are involved in corrupt schemes for weapons supply to hotspots all around the world. We want their activity to become public and be thoroughly investigated. The U.S. foreign policy should emphasize peace with all nations, entangling alliances with none.
